Six Years of the Artisan Barber Foundation

At Artisan Barber, we believe styling is a powerful tool to positively impact the communities that make our business special. Since 2021, the Artisan Foundation has partnered with educators and nonprofit organizations to make grooming, wellness, and career development accessible to the next generation of New Yorkers. To counter rising homelessness among New York City’s youth, our programming empowers children by promoting personal care while exposing them to professionals, creative work, business, and viable career paths.

Artisan Barber provides free haircuts for low-income students as well as grooming support and hygiene products because care supports healthy self-esteem. Our first activation at Bronx Academy brought complimentary grooming services, maintenance kits, vintage t-shirts, and entrepreneurship conversations to 18 students.

Since then, we’ve partnered with leaders across finance, tech, marketing to provide coaching sessions for students in underserved communities.
